The Vertigo Cliffs ( English for vertigo cliff ) are striking, steep and approximately 200 m high rock cliffs on Vega Island off the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . They rise 11 km west of Cape Well-met . There is a mountain basin near its western end .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1988 alluded to the height and steepness of the cliffs with the naming.
