The administration building of Mannheimer Lebensversicherung is a modern office building in the Ludwigsvorstadt district of Munich . It was created between 1963 and 1967 based on designs by the architect Egon Eiermann .

Mannheimer Lebensversicherung acquired a plot of land on Bavariaring for its administration building . The city villa standing on it, which Emanuel von Seidl had built for the physician and university professor Hermann von Tappeiner at the end of the 19th century , was demolished in 1963 because of the structural damage suffered in the Second World War.

In their place, Eiermann created a modern reinforced concrete structure. The lower four floors form an elongated cube, the top floor is slightly set back. The facade of the building is structured by uniformly arranged window fronts. It is clad with black stone slabs.
