from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In German civil service law, the rise in employment is a form of career change from the middle service to the higher service.

In contrast to the regular promotion, which is only possible up to the age of 44, the requirement here is the completion of the 45th year of life and at least one position of grade A8 ( main secretary ). The promotion is only possible for certain posts to which the promotion applicant is bound.

After a successful introduction to the tasks of the higher service (usually 6 months) the applicant is appointed as an inspector (grade A9).
