The Via Mat Management AG , headquartered in Kloten was an international Swiss freight forwarding - and logistics group . The group of companies comprising 15 companies was represented in ten countries in Europe, Asia and North and South America. The Via Mat Group employed around 900 people and in 2007 generated sales of 230 million Swiss francs. Via Mat was bought by Loomis and became their property.

history
The family company was founded in 1945 by Wilhelm Moser as MAT Transport AG in Basel . In 1972, the various security areas in the security logistics business were merged under the name Via Mat . In 1985 the company took over Wiederkehr Verpackungen AG, which became Via Mat Packsafe AG. From the 1990s onwards, the company expanded rapidly by establishing various subsidiaries abroad. In May 2014 the Via Mat Group was taken over by the Loomis Group .
