Valors

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Valoren (plural) ( Latin valor , "value, validity") is the collective term for all valuables such as jewelry , cash , checks , securities or precious metals .

In terms of insurance, a distinction is made between first and second class securities.

First class securities include: shares , securities, waybills , mortgage letters , Pfandbriefe , savings books ;
Class II securities include: cash, dividend coupons , tickets , precious metals and jewelry.

The dispatch of securities is typically subject to restrictions in terms of insurance coverage.

A number of insurance companies therefore offer so-called valuables insurance . These insure valuables against loss and theft during shipping or transport.

Value limits

Class II valuables are only permitted and insured for national PAKET and EXPRESS shipping via DHL if the value per shipment is less than 500 euros and only one shipment per day is posted between the same sender and recipient. (see insured letter ).

When shipping by DHL , parcels with values over 25,000 euros are excluded from shipping.

At DPD , the shipping of parcels of some values of both classes is excluded and therefore not insured. Other securities are only permitted as long as their value does not exceed 520 euros per package.
