Via Slavica

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Via Slavica is an ancient network of trade routes that are now used as a pilgrimage route.

Coming from Eastern Europe, Via Slavica leads via Brno and Vienna to Aquileia and on to Rome. From Vienna there are two routes that are assigned to the Via Slavica, the first along the Bernsteinstraße and the second along the Via Sacra to Mariazell and then the Kärntner Mariazellerweg to Arnoldstein and Aquileia.
