The viaduct is under monument protection standing bridge in the city of Mücheln in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 20346 .
history
The viaduct was built in 1964 for the Merseburg – Querfurt railway line . The railway line had to be relocated because of the growing opencast mine, which led to the construction of this bridge. The bridge is divided into seven arches and is 271 meters long and 14.5 meters high.
