Vianney Bureau (born February 13, 1991 in Pau ), known as Vianney , is a French pop musician .

Career

Vianney Bureau learned to play the guitar at the age of 12. He did his baccalaureate at the military boarding school in Saint-Cyr , then studied economics in London, among other places, and then attended a fashion school in Paris . He also loves unconventional travel, so he hitchhiked to Turkey because of a bet, rode his bike to Sweden and made a 3500-kilometer tour through France on an electric scooter from a German manufacturer, with which he received international attention even before his musical career excited.

In 2014, together with producer Antoine Essertier, he recorded his debut album Idées blanches within three weeks . In the summer, the first single Je te déteste was released, which stayed in the second half of the top 200 download charts for some time . At the end of the year the album rose to number 69, but left the charts again after a few weeks. It wasn't until he won Prix ​​Talents on the W9 TV channel's casting show in January 2015 that his breakthrough came. The second single Pas là reached number 18 and stayed in the charts for months. The album was also rediscovered and rose to number 31. It was then released internationally not only in French-speaking countries, but also, for example, in Germany. An acoustic version was released at the end of 2015, which once again contributed to the success. At the national music award, the Victoires , the album was nominated for best newcomer album in 2015. The following year he even won the award in the category of best male artist .

Vianney had another hit in 2016 with a guest contribution to the song Les filles d'aujourd'hui on the album by singer and actress Joyce Jonathan . At the end of the year he released his own second album with his name as the title. At the beginning of December it rose to number 3 and in the new year it rose to number 1 and the preliminary single Je m'en vais reached number 2 in the single charts. It also won a Victoire for Song of the Year .
