Vibeke Stene (born August 17, 1978 in Sokndal ) is a Norwegian singer .

Career

Vibeke Stene is the daughter of Steinar Stene and Sissel Bø Stene. She has two sisters. Stene grew up in a musical family. At the age of thirteen she received singing lessons, which sparked her interest in classical singing. In her youth she sang in various choirs, jazz formations and pop bands.

In 1996 she became first substitute and later lead singer of the Norwegian Gothic Metal group Tristania . In 2007 she ended her engagement with Tristania for personal reasons and from then on gave singing lessons and played theater. In 2013 she announced that she would become active again as a singer and work on an album. In 2015 she appeared as "Silja" in the play "Hostage of Shame" by Kai Erland.

Stene is married and has two children.
