Vibekingz
VIBEKINGz is the name of a joint association of various German hip-hop dancers, MCs and hip-hop DJs. The founder and main producer is DJ STATIC from Hamburg-Schnelsen. Vibekingz became known in the summer of 2006 with the single Like the Wind .
Career
The song originally came under the title She's Like the Wind by the American actor Patrick Swayze . After its use in the dance film Dirty Dancing , Swayze reached high chart positions worldwide in 1987. Static produced the song as an R&B ballad. He engaged the Berlin singer Maliq for the recording . With number 2 in Germany, the song reached a higher chart position than the original.
After the success with Maliq, the Vibekingz produced various top-class American artists, such as the group Shai (If I ever fall in Love).
In 2008 the singer, producer and songwriter J´Sun joined the Vibekingz .
The Hamburg music producer, singer and songwriter Tihamer Jenei has been an integral part of the Vibekingz team since 2015 .
