Vicke von Behr-Negendanck

Vicke von Behr-Negendanck (born July 22, 1949 in Neustadt in Holstein ) is a German theologian and the fifth arch superior of the Christian community .

Live and act

Von Behr-Negendanck, who comes from the noble family of Behr , studied theater , economics and Protestant theology at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the Free University of Berlin . During his studies in Berlin he was strongly influenced by Helmut Gollwitzer .

After graduating, he worked as an assistant director at theaters in Berlin and Bremen. From 1980 he completed a socio-educational training and worked with delinquent young people.

By reading Emil Bock's books , he became aware of anthroposophy and the Christian community that Friedrich Rittelmeyer had set up with Rudolf Steiner . From 1987 he completed his studies at the Christian Community's seminary in Stuttgart. In 1992 he was ordained a priest in Rostock and then entrusted with the spiritual care of the community in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. From 2001 he worked as the leader of the Christian Community for East Germany and from 2002 he was a member of the Seven Circle leading the religious community. Since 2005, Vicke von Behr-Nagendanck has been the successor to Taco Bay, the arch-chief of the Christian community.
