Vicki Barbara Poole is a diplomat from New Zealand . She has been New Zealand's Ambassador to East Timor since 2016 .

Career

Poole attended Tawa College and Victoria University in her hometown of Wellington .

At the Agency for International Development , she first worked as Deputy Director for Pacific Development , then as Counselor at the Permanent Mission of New Zealand to the OECD in Paris . In 2015, Poole was appointed to succeed Jonathan Schwass as New Zealand's Ambassador to East Timor . The accreditation with East Timor's President Taur Matan Ruak took place on May 3, 2016. On April 11, 2019, she was adopted as ambassador to East Timor. She follows Philip Hewitt .
