Victor Purcell

Victor Purcell (born January 26, 1896 , † January 2, 1965 ), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), was a British colonial official and China researcher. During his service in Malaysia he dealt in particular with the role of the local Chinese minority and published some important basic works on this topic. The Post Office of Christmas Island dedicated a stamp to him in 1978 .
