Victor von Dittmann

Victor Alexandrowitsch von Dittmann (* 1842 ; † February 3, 1917 in St. Petersburg ) was a German-Russian Catholic-Apostolic Shepherd with the Apostle and Angel .

biography

Victor von Dittmann was the son of Alexander von Dittmann and belonged with his brothers to a well-known Catholic-Apostolic family. He studied Protestant theology in Dorpat and became a member of Arminia Dorpatensis in the Wingolfsbund in 1859 . On September 27, 1866 he was ordained and then pastor in the Baltic States. He later became a priest-evangelist in St. Petersburg and was instrumental in founding the congregation. From 1874 he was an angel evangelist and from 1878 an evangelist with the apostle . From 1898 shepherd with the apostle for Russia, Finland and the Netherlands as well as archdeacon for Russia and since 1905 commissioned angel in St. Petersburg. It is said that Victor von Dittmann was able to preach in twelve languages.
