Victoria Medal
The Victoria Medal is an award given by the Royal Geographical Society in memory of Queen Victoria since 1902 . It is based on the original design of the Patron's Medal . In contrast to this, however, the Victoria Medal is a purely scientific award. It is not to be confused with the Victoria Medal of Honor of the Royal Horticultural Society .
