Videograms of a revolution
Videograms of a Revolution is the title of a 106-minute documentary by Harun Farocki and Andrei Ujica , published in 1992 . The film, which premiered at the Viennale on October 12, 1992 in Vienna , compiles video images of the Romanian Revolution in the form of a chronology from Ceausescu's last speech (December 21, 1989) to the first TV summary of the sentencing of the dictator couple and their execution (December 26, 1989) December 1989).
In Bucharest , the official television station was occupied by demonstrators and was broadcast live almost continuously from December 21 to 26 . The title itself promises the revolution as electromagnetic recording and presents the film as audiovisual historiography.
