Vidmantė Jasukaitytė
Vidmantė Jasukaitytė (born July 10, 1948 in Pumpučiai , Šiauliai district ; † July 14, 2018 in Klaipėda ) was a Lithuanian writer and politician , founder of Lietuvos moterų sąjunga .
Life
From 1955 she studied in Voveriškiai and then at the 5th Šiauliai Middle School . After graduating from high school in 1966 at the 3rd evening middle school Šiauliai vidurinę mokyklą, she graduated from 1967 to 1972 with a degree in Lithuanian language and literature at the Faculty of Philology at Vilniaus universitetas . She worked from the age of 16 and worked for the “Minties” publishing house in Vilnius . From 1990 she was a member of the Seimas .
In 1970 the first Jasukaitytės publication and in 1976 the first poetry book "Ugnis, kurią reikia pereiti" appeared. In 2002 the collection “Stebuklinga patvorių žolė” was translated into Spanish and published in Madrid .
In 2018 she died in Klaipėda University Hospital .
