Four-fold fold

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The four-break fold is a term used in print finishing.

When folding raw sheets, the paper fibers of the paper are broken in the running direction, which is why one speaks of breakage. If a folding sheet or a folding scheme is folded four times, it is called a four-fold fold . If you change the direction of the break every time, you always get 32-page folded sheets , as each break doubles the number of pages on the folded sheet.
