Vigdís Hauksdóttir

Vigdís Hauksdóttir (born March 20, 1965 in Selfoss ) is an Icelandic politician ( Progress Party ).

Vigdís is a trained gardener and florist , owned flower shops and taught at the Icelandic Horticultural School. In 2008 she obtained a law degree (ML) from the University of Bifröst , where she also trained in tax law .

From 2009 to 2016 she was a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the constituency of Reykjavík-South . Vigdís Hauksdóttir was a member of rotating parliamentary committees; since 2013 she has been chairwoman of the budget committee and since 2015 a member of the constitutional and supervisory committee. Since 2013 she has been a member of the Icelandic delegation to the West Nordic Council . Vigdís Hauksdóttir did not run for the general election in Iceland in 2016 .
