A farmers' market with the most original and loudest market vendors in Vienna takes place in the mornings in Leibnizgasse , which leads south from the square towards Quellenstrasse .

Since the market is visited by an audience of all classes, political rallies are also held on the square, especially during election campaigns.

The buildings around the market at Viktor-Adler-Platz 1 to 13 are mostly residential buildings with shops on the ground floor.
