Metro and tram station

The Reumannplatz station is an underground station on the U1 line that opened on February 25, 1978 in Vienna's 10th district , Favoriten .

The two-story underground station is located directly below Favoritenstrasse or Reumannplatz , which is named after the first social democratic mayor of Vienna, Jakob Reumann . It has a central platform. Exits lead on the one hand via a mezzanine floor to the park-like Reumannplatz and on the other hand to the pedestrian zone Favoritenstrasse at the level of Quellenstrasse . At the Quellenstrasse exit, passenger flows into and out of the station were structurally separated from one another, and an elevator was retrofitted.

It is possible to change to the tram and numerous bus routes. The Amalienbad , the well-known Tichy ice cream parlor and the Favoritenstrasse shopping street are in the immediate vicinity .

Since Reumannplatz station was the southern terminus of the U1 line for 39 years, from 1978 to 2017, there is a turning system for underground trains next to the station.
