The Oberlaa underground station is the southern terminus of the Vienna underground line U1 . It was opened together with the southern extension of the U1 from Reumannplatz on September 2, 2017. The Oberlaa station is located above ground in the south of Vienna's 10th district, right at the entrance to Therme Wien . To the north of the station is the Oberlaa spa park , and to the south is the Donauländebahn ; on the other side of the railway, not immediately adjacent, is the historic center of the Oberlaa district .
The western end of the platform is connected to a tunnel under the U1 and the Donauländebahn, which connects Laaer-Berg-Straße with Hämmerlegasse. To the east, the connection is via a footbridge between the thermal baths and a stair tower with exits to Laaer-Berg-Strasse and Biererlgasse
Before the opening of the extension of the U1 ended here of the Vienna International Garden Show in 1974 built, most recently emanating from the Reumannplatz eastern branch of the tram 67. He was-construction subway to during the Per-Albin-Hansson settlement shortened and adjusted with the opening of the new railway line .
In the area of the underground station there is a storage and inspection hall for trains of the U1 as well as a park-and-ride facility and a bike-and-ride facility for cyclists.
