Viktor Đerek (born March 8, 2000 in Split , Croatia ) is a Croatian photographer and human rights activist .

Life

Đereks became interested in photography at the age of 9. He traveled with his grandfather, took photos and uploaded the photos to the image hosting website Flickr .

In mid-2013, Đerek made his first documentary film Fairy Tale Croatia . The film shows shots from the cities of Dubrovnik , Zadar and Zagreb as well as shots from the Plitvice Lakes National Park .

As an activist , he is committed to the preservation of nature and works as a travel guide for the Croatian islands. He is a human rights activist with a focus on tolerance for diversity and works with human rights organizations such as the Born This Way Foundation and the Human Rights Campaign .
