Villa Loos

The Villa Loos is an Art Nouveau - Villa in the late nineteenth residential area around the Abt-Karl-Straße Melk (address: Abt-Karl-Straße 16). It was built by Josef Plecnik in 1901 on behalf of the notary Hans Loos von Losimfeldt. The building is a clear rejection of historicism , the facade is divided into different materials and material effects with simple elements. These facade elements include smooth plaster, rough plaster, glazed ceramic tiles (in blue and beige), bricks and Eternit panels.

The villa is a listed building .
