The Villa Lug ins Land is located in the market town of Laßnitzhöhe in Styria . The building is a listed building ( list entry ).

location

The property is located directly on Laßnitzhöher Hauptstrasse , in the area of the Sturmann villas. Before the municipality of Wöbling and parts of the municipalities of Höf-Präbach and Nestelbach near Graz were merged to form the municipality of Laßnitzhöhe in 1951, the villa was located in the village of Buckelberg in the municipality of Nestelbach near Graz.

History and architecture

The villa was planned by the architect Adalbert Pasdirek in 1905 and built for the Mlekus family of liqueur manufacturers from Graz. The Mediterranean, functional architecture with a flat roof and cubic forms stands in stark contrast to the old German style of the Kurhaus and most of the villas of the late historicism that were built in the same period.

The outer walls of the villa are painted uniformly white, the individual rooms are designed in strong colors. There is also a farm building and a bathroom on the site. The villa is furnished with an Art Nouveau interior and is now privately owned.
