Until the end of 2014, Höf-Präbach was a municipality with 1,395 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in Styria east of Graz in the Graz-Umgebung district . As part of the Styrian community structural reform , it was merged with the communities of Brodingberg , Hart-Purgstall and Eggersdorf bei Graz on January 1, 2015 , the new community bears the name Eggersdorf bei Graz. The basis for this is the Styrian Municipal Structural Reform Act - StGsrG. A complaint brought by the municipality against the amalgamation to the Constitutional Court was unsuccessful.

The Höf-Präbach kindergarten is located in the center of the village. The associated playground has solid wood play equipment and even a small road for the existing children's vehicles. Forest, meadow, stream and fields are in the immediate vicinity and can be reached directly without crossing a road.

The focus of the kindergarten is a healthy diet, lots of exercise, exploring the surrounding nature on the weekly rubber boot day and extensive preparation for school and life. In addition, there are projects on the topics of music, research and experimentation, media and technology, integration and inclusion, language promotion, emotions and social relationships, working with wood and much more

The pedagogical team works according to the cross-state educational framework plan for elementary educational institutions in Austria.
