The Medici Villa di Marignolle is located in a southern suburb of Florence at 30 Via di Santa di Maria a Marignolle.

The property belonged to the Sacchetti family in the 14th century and was sold by them to Lorenzo di Pietro Ridolfi in 1550. Francesco I de 'Medici confiscated the property because Ridolfi had entered into the Pucci conspiracy against Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici , the father of Francesco, in 1560 .

After remodeling by the court architect Bernardo Buontalenti , Francesco gave the villa to his illegitimate son with Bianca Cappello , Don Antonio . To the right of the villa, a ballroom was built by Gherardo Mechini in 1596 . In 1621 Girolamo Capponi bought the property; the last offspring of this family, Gino Capponi , man of letters and politician, was first buried in the villa's chapel in 1876 - today he rests in the church of Santa Croce .

The Marchese Luigi Ridolfi and the art dealer family Bellini (1939–1976) are among the later owners. Even today the villa is privately owned and not open to the public.
