Villa Paranacito is a small town in the southeast of the Entre Ríos province in central Argentina .

population

The official population is 3,998 (2001 census). The population almost tripled in the 1990s; in the 1991 census only 1,035 inhabitants were counted. According to an estimate by the city government on the official website, the place currently has 7,500 inhabitants, of which 4,000 are in urban areas and the rest in rural areas.

history

The settlement was founded on May 25, 1906 by European emigrants. At first it was only accessible by water. In 1937 Villa Paranacito was connected to the road network, in 1971 to the electricity network. In 1982 the municipality of Villa Paranacito was established and in 1987 the size of the municipality as it is today was set at 1,970 km 2 .
