Villa Pebra
The Villa Pebra is a former residential building at Martinstrasse 37 in Esslingen am Neckar . Its architecture belongs stylistically to historicism and shows elements of neo-renaissance and neo-baroque .
The factory owner's villa was built in 1894 and is now a listed building . It comes from the architect Friedrich Schäffler and was probably also used by him as a residential building. The figure of an Atlantin on the entrance pillar and the round bay window of the building are striking .
The building next to the Dick Leisure Center was repeatedly used for exhibitions, but is now empty (as of January 2010) and is to be renovated. Initially, it was planned to use it as a cultural center under the name Russisches Haus , but at the end of 2009 it was planned to use it as a day-care center.
