Saint-Vivien-de-Medoc is a French commune in the Gironde department . It is located in the Arrondissement of Lesparre-Médoc and belongs to the canton of Le Nord-Médoc .
Saint-Vivien is located about 75 kilometers northwest of Bordeaux on the Médoc peninsula in the Entre deux mers wine region .

In addition to the 1777 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) with their main residence, several hundred people are added during the summer months, French people from the interior as well as other tourists.
Attractions
The Saint-Vivien church, which can also be seen on the municipal coat of arms, is very old. It goes back to the 6th century, but received its current form in the 12th century in the Romanesque style after being destroyed several times . The church tower, however, is an addition to the 20th century: it was built in 1957.
