Gaillan-en-Medoc is a French commune in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine with 2,323 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Lesparre-Médoc and the canton of Le Nord-Médoc (until 2015: Canton of Lesparre-Médoc ). The inhabitants are called Gaillanais .

Gaillan-en-Médoc is located about 61 kilometers northwest of Bordeaux in the Médoc . Gaillan-en-Médoc is surrounded by the neighboring communities Queyrac in the north, Civrac-en-Médoc in the north-east, Lesparre-Médoc in the east, Naujac-sur-Mer in the south and south-west and Vendays-Montalivet in the west and north-west.
The former route nationale 215 (today's D1215) runs through the municipality .
