Civrac-en-Médoc ( Occitan : Sibrac-de-Médoc ) is a French commune in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine with 692 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Lesparre-Médoc and the canton of Le Nord-Médoc (until 2015: Canton of Lesparre-Médoc ). The inhabitants are called Civracais .
geography
Civrac-en-Médoc is located about 60 kilometers north-north-west of Bordeaux in the Médoc . Civrac-en-Médoc is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bégadan in the north, Couquèques in the east, Blaignan-Prignac in the south and southeast, Lesparre-Médoc in the south, Gaillan-en-Médoc and Queyrac in the west.
The former route nationale 215 (today's D1215) runs through the municipality .
