Vendays-Montalivet is a French town in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
The municipality has 2,445 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), which are mainly divided between the two districts of Montalivet-les-Bains and Vendays. The municipality lives mainly from tourism , which is mainly concentrated in Montalivet-les-Bains by the sea.
The district of Vendays has a church, a primary school, a supermarket and a post office, as well as various smaller shops. With the exception of a few homesteads, the vegetation in the municipality is essentially pine forest.
The regional fire brigade base is therefore located in the district of Vendays .
