The Villa Pretz after the roof extension in 2012

The Villa Pretz is a listed building at Runkelsteinerstraße 13 in Bozen . It was built in the New Building style between 1926 and 1928 according to plans by Clemens Holzmeister and Luis Trenker . Clemens Holzmeister wrote in 1937 about the character of the house:

“Not far from the Talfer promenade, immersed in vineyards, surrounded by old mansions. The official note is posted on the street, somewhat repulsive to the outside like the Bolzano people and their houses, towards the garden and inwards the house opens up contemplatively and unrelated like the residents when they are among themselves. "

The original "heroic" shape of the building was later changed, whereby the horizontal tripartite division of the facade and the tension created by the small windows in the attic were lost.

In 2012, according to plans by the Bozen architect Oswald Zöggeler, the roof was expanded and the building was further redesigned.
