Villa Rehwoldt (before 1905)

The Villa Rehwoldt was a villa in Leipzig , it stood on Karl-Tauchnitz-Strasse in the music district . The house was destroyed in World War II.

The villa was built before 1899 by the architect Arwed Roßbach (1844–1902) for the Leipzig entrepreneur Friedrich Rehwoldt (1846–1924), the managing director and co-owner of the machine factory Gebr. Brehmer , in neo -renaissance style and originally had the address Carl-Tauchnitz 45 Street . In 1901 the spelling of the street name was officially changed to Karl-Tauchnitz-Straße , presumably at the same time the plots were renumbered, the building later had house number 29.
