The Villa Richard Müller is a listed, upper-class residential building in Oerlinghausen in the Lippe district , North Rhine-Westphalia , Detmolder Strasse 21. The house is registered with the number 6 as a monument in the municipal list of monuments.

History and architecture

The representative villa was built from 1913 to 1914 by the architect Hermann AE Kopf in neo - classicist reform architecture for the textile manufacturer Richard Müller . The plastered building under a hipped roof is structured by pilaster strips with colored glass mosaic. The three-axis forward swinging balcony bay is in the center of the building. The interiors with elaborate wall and ceiling paneling are individually designed. They were created under the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement and the influence of country house architecture .
