The Villa Rustica von Möckenlohe is the remains of a Roman villa of the 2nd / 3rd centuries. Century near Möckenlohe in Bavaria .

Ancient remains have been known since the beginning of the 20th century. Aerial photographs from 1983 show the plan of the villa but also the outbuildings. The main house was excavated from 1987 to 1989 and rebuilt in 1992/93.

The construction of the villa consisted of limestone masonry with corner projections on the front in the south, where the main entrance was also located. A colonnade once stood here . The whole front was once about 30.5 meters long. A large courtyard opened behind the portico. Rooms were to the west of the courtyard and to the south, where the portico also stood. A room had a basement. At least two rooms had a hypocaust . The villa was probably built under Emperor Hadrian and abandoned after a fire in the middle of the third century. The modern replica is not based on the archaeological findings in every detail and is connected to a pet zoo.
