From 1848 the villa was built in place of the former wine master's houses. A tea and viewing pavilion was built by 1869 through extensions and extensions, which in the years that followed, including the property, was transferred to Villa Henckel . In 1879 the villa came into the possession of the Hohenzollern family , but was only known under its current name from 1903 to 1932, when the noble Schlieffen family lived there. In 1945 the property was confiscated by the Red Army and was subsequently subject to Soviet military use, during which it was partially converted into a bunker. In 1996, the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation took over the building and, after clearing the rubble for the first time, is now trying to renovate it in accordance with its heritage. The villa has been hidden under an enclosure since the 2000s to protect it from further deterioration. After the renovation work is complete, the house will one day accommodate a private art collection.
