The Villa am Brocken is a listed villa in the district of Schierke in the Harz Mountains, part of the city of Wernigerode in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the southern part of Schierke at the address Barenberg 11 on the south side of the street Barenberg.
Architecture and history
The villa was built in 1897 and belonged to the founders of the Sarrasani Circus . The design of the representative building is based on regional building traditions. In the 1930s, after the circus was hit by a shipwreck after a guest performance in the USA , the villa was sold. During the time of the GDR , the villa served as a holiday home for the FDGB . After the end of the GDR, the property came to the Treuhandanstalt . In 2005 the Scholand family bought the house. After extensive renovation, the villa was reopened as a holiday complex in early 2006.
There are eight holiday apartments in the house with 60 to 110 m². The name of the villa refers to the Brocken mountain north-west of Schierke .
The villa is listed in the local monument register under registration number 094 56118 as a monument .
