Vilmos Tátrai (born October 7, 1912 in Kispest , † February 2, 1999 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian violinist, conductor and music teacher.

Tatrai was a violinist in the Budapest Municipal Symphony Orchestra from 1933 to 1936, then for two years in the Buenos Aires Radio Orchestra. From 1940 to 1978 he directed the Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra. In 1946 he founded the Tatrai Quartet and in 1957 the Hungarian Chamber Orchestra. From 1947 to 1954 he taught violin and chamber music at the Béla Bartók Conservatory. From 1965 he was a professor at the Franz Liszt Music Academy .
