The Juozas Tallat Kelpša Conservatory Vilnius ( lit.Vilniaus Juozo Tallat-Kelpšos konservatorija ) is a music middle school in Vilnius . It prepares future students of the Lithuanian Music and Drama Academy .

history

In November 1940 a music school was founded. 715 students studied here. In 1949 the Lithuanian State Conservatory was created from the Kaunas Conservatory and the Vilnius Conservatory . In 1957 the symphony orchestra was founded (director Juozas Karosas ).

In 1993 the Vilnius Conservatory was established from the Vilnius Culture School and the J. Tallat Kelpša School Vilnius mokykla. In July 2004 the conservatory was reorganized. Vilniaus konservatorija, Music Middle School, and the Faculty of Arts at Vilnius College were established. In 2005 there was the (last) 12th diploma series (from 1993) or 9th series (from 1997) of higher education, a total of 1213 diplomas were awarded.
