Vincenz Hlawaczek of the Coast Guard , also Vincenz Hlaváček of the Coast Guard (born July 6, 1854 in Chrudim , † July 12, 1926 in Vienna ) was an Austrian field marshal lieutenant of Bohemian (Czech) origin.

Life

Vincenz Hlawaczek came from a bourgeois family in Prague. In 1913 he was promoted to major general. He served as the commander of the 4th fortress artillery brigade in the Istrian port city of Pola . As early as 1915, Hlawaczek received the rank of Lieutenant Field Marshal , shortly afterwards he was accepted into the nobility with the title of Coast Guard . After the fall of the monarchy, he retired in 1919 and lived in Vienna until his death. His regulars' table was in the Viennese Cafe Archduke Johann . Members of his family now live in Austria and the Czech Republic .
