Vincenzo Appiani
Vincenzo Appiani (born August 18, 1850 in Monza , † November 26, 1932 in Milan ) was an Italian pianist, music teacher and composer.
Appiani studied at the Conservatory of Milan with Antonio Angelèri and Alberto Mazzucato . He was professor of piano at the Real Collegio delle Fanciulle in Milan for 24 years before receiving a chair at the Milan Conservatory in 1894.
In 1932 the pianist Angelo Berti and the cellist Riccardo Malipiero founded the Liceo Musicale di Monza in Appiani's birthplace , which in 1933 was named Liceo Musicale "Vincenzo Appiani" .
