Vincent Batliner

Vinzenz Batliner († September 22, 1988 ) was the police chief of the Princely Liechtenstein Security Corps .

Life

On May 1, 1955, Batliner entered the St. Gallen Police Recruiting School as a recruit . After completing his training, he was accepted into the Princely Liechtenstein Security Corps in 1956. In 1963 he was promoted to corporal and a little later to corporal. As such, he became head of the traffic police. In 1966 he was promoted to sergeant and shortly thereafter to field woman. In 1972 he was promoted to Feldweibel (with special tasks). On February 14, 1977 he was appointed the new Liechtenstein police chief by the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein , succeeding Hermann Meier . Batliner had previously been the first deputy chief of police. He took office on March 1, 1977. Batliner died in September 1988 at the age of 62 after a tree uprooted in a storm.
