Vincent Bieber

Vinzenz Bieber (born June 11, 1851 in Niederliebich near Böhmisch Leipa , † December 18, 1909 in Marburg an der Drau ) was an Austrian paleontologist and teacher.

Bieber passed the teaching examination in natural history at the German University of Prague in 1877 . From 1874 to 1877 he was an assistant at the Mineralogical-Geological Institute of the German Technical University in Prague. In the period from 1877 to 1882 he worked at the Geological-Paleontological Institute of the German University in Prague as an assistant. From 1882 to 1885 Bieber was a supplent at secondary schools in Eger and Olomouc . From 1885 to 1907 he was a professor at the secondary school in Marburg an der Drau.

As a paleontologist, Bieber described, among other things, the discovery of the Dinotherium from Franzensbad and Anuren from the Bohemian Young Tertiary, exhibited in the Natural History Museum Vienna .
