Vinzenz Kraus (born October 19, 1865 in Deutsch-Gabel ; † March 25, 1926 there ) was an Austrian politician ( German Radical Party ) and a tanner. He was a member of the Bohemian Landtag , a member of the Austrian House of Representatives , a member of the Provisional National Assembly and a member of the Czechoslovak House of Representatives .

Life

Vinzenz Kraus was born the son of a wage tanner. He attended elementary school and the community school in Deutsch-Gabel and did his military service with the 26th Divisional Artillery Regiment, where he was most recently a corporal. Professionally, he was active as a tanner in Deutsch-Gabel.

In the political field, Kraus was involved as a city councilor in his hometown and was deputy chairman of the district council. He was also a member of the trade council. Kraus stood for the Free German Party (later: German Radical Party) in the 1907 Reichsrat election in the electoral district of Bohemia 78 and was able to prevail in the runoff election with just under 50.6 percent against the social democratic candidate. In 1911 he was able to defend his seat with 58.9 percent in the first ballot. After the death of the member of the state parliament Pergelt, Kraus stood in the state parliament supplementary election on December 15, 1910 in the Rumburg-Warnsdorf constituency and was able to prevail. Subsequently belonged to the Bohemian Landtag until 1918. Due to his mandate from the Reichsrat, Kraus was also a member of the Provisional National Assembly between October 21, 1918 and February 16, 1919. In the newly founded Czechoslovakia Kraus was a member of the Czechoslovak House of Representatives between 1920 and 1926 , where he was a member of the German National Party .
