Virgil Miller
Virgil E. Miller (born December 20, 1887 in Coffeen , Illinois , † October 5, 1974 in Hollywood , California ) was an American cameraman .
Life
Miller began his work as a cameraman in 1917 and remained active as such until 1956. In 1964 he published his autobiography under the title Splinters from Hollywood Tripods . During his lifetime he was involved in more than 150 productions.
For his work on the documentary Navajo , Miller was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Cinematography in 1953 .
