Viscount Boyd of Merton

Viscount Boyd of Merton , of Merton-in-Penninghame in the County of Wigtown , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The title was created on September 8, 1960 for the Conservative politician and former Colonial Secretary Alan Lennox-Boyd . Today's title holder is his son Simon Lennox-Boyd as 2nd Viscount.

The Viscount family residence is Ince Castle near Saltash in Cornwall .
