Henry Holland, 1st Viscount Knutsford

Viscount Knutsford , of Knutsford in the County Palatine of Chester , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award and subordinate titles

The title was created on August 3, 1895 for the Conservative politician and former Secretary of State for Colonies Henry Holland, 1st Baron Knutsford . This was already on February 23, 1888 to Baron Knutsford , of Knutsford in the County Palatine of Chester, raised. As early as 1873 he had inherited the title of Baronet , of Sandleford in the County Palatine of Chester, from his father Henry Holland (1788–1873) , which was awarded to this on May 10, 1853 in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom.

Today's title holder is his descendant Michael Holland-Hibbert as the 6th Viscount.
