Earl of Hardwicke
Earl of Hardwicke is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Great Britain .
Award and subordinate titles
On April 2, 1754, the title was created for Lord Chancellor Philip Yorke, 1st Baron Hardwicke . Together with the Earldom he was given the subordinate title Viscount Royston . As early as November 23, 1733 he had been awarded the title of Baron Hardwicke , of Hardwicke in the County of Gloucester .
Today's title holder is his descendant Joseph Yorke as 10th Earl.
